Buchanan has 21 in George Washington's 75-62 win against George Mason

WASHINGTON (AP) — Darren Buchanan Jr. scored 21 points as George Washington beat George Mason 75-62 on Monday.

Buchanan added nine rebounds for the Revolutionaries (14-3, 3-1 Atlantic 10 Conference). James Bishop scored 20 points and added six rebounds. Maximus Edwards was 2 of 11 shooting, including 0 for 4 from 3-point range, and went 6 for 6 from the line to finish with 10 points.

The Patriots (13-5, 2-3) were led in scoring by Keyshawn Hall, who finished with 19 points and nine rebounds. George Mason also got 14 points, three steals and two blocks from Amari Kelly. In addition, Darius Maddox finished with 11 points.

Buchanan led his team in scoring with 12 points in the first half to help build a 37-24 lead at the break. George Washington extended its lead to 69-54 during the second half, fueled by an 8-0 scoring run. Bishop scored a team-high 10 points in the second half.
