Caldwell scores 21 as Southeastern Louisiana tops Northwestern State 71-62

HAMMOND, La. (AP) — Nick Caldwell scored 21 points as Southeastern Louisiana beat Northwestern State 71-62 on Monday night.

Caldwell shot 9 for 13, including 1 for 3 from beyond the arc for the Lions (7-12, 2-4 Southland Conference). Roger McFarlane scored 18 points while shooting 5 for 12 (0 for 3 from 3-point range) and 8 of 9 from the free throw line, and added 13 rebounds and three steals. Alec Woodard was 3 of 8 shooting, including 3 for 6 from 3-point range, and went 7 for 8 from the line to finish with 16 points.

The Demons (5-14, 3-3) were led in scoring by Cliff Davis, who finished with 15 points, six rebounds and four assists. Chase Forte added 12 points, seven rebounds and two steals. Justin Wilson also had eight points, seven rebounds and three blocks.
