Ellis scores 22, Maryland-Eastern Shore tops D-II's Queens College (NY) 71-61

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. (AP) — Devon Ellis scored 22 points to lead Maryland-Eastern Shore to an 81-71 victory over Division II member Queens College (NY) on Monday night.

Ellis had eight rebounds for the Hawks (5-12, 1-3 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference). Kelechi Okworogwo added 18 points while going 5 of 8 and 7 of 8 from the free throw line, and they also had 12 rebounds. Tyler Mack was 5 of 11 shooting (1 for 7 from 3-point range) to finish with 11 points, while adding seven rebounds.

Eric Tynes led the Knights in scoring, finishing with 19 points and two steals. Malik Bentinck added 12 points, nine rebounds and two steals. Sunnie Diamond finished with 10 points.
