Gaiter scores 25 points to lead South Alabama past Marshall 91-85

HUNTINGTON, W.Va (AP) — Isiah Gaiter's 25 points helped South Alabama defeat Marshall 91-85 on Saturday night.

Gaiter also had seven rebounds for the Jaguars (9-8, 2-3 Sun Belt Conference). Tyrell Jones scored 23 points, going 7 of 13 from the floor, including 4 for 7 from 3-point range, and 5 for 9 from the line. Samuel Tabe shot 7 of 14 from the field and 4 for 4 from the line to finish with 18 points.

Obinna Anochili-Killen led the way for the Thundering Herd (9-9, 4-1) with 26 points, six rebounds, four assists and two steals. Marshall also got 23 points from Cam Crawford. In addition, Kamdyn Curfman had 17 points.

Both teams play on Thursday. South Alabama hosts Troy and Marshall travels to play Old Dominion.
