George Washington wins 85-75 against Howard
WASHINGTON (AP) — Ricky Lindo Jr. scored 19 points to help George Washington defeat Howard 85-75 on Friday night.
Lindo had nine rebounds and four blocks for the Colonials (2-0). Maximus Edwards added 18 points while shooting 6 for 10 (2 for 5 from 3-point range) and 4 of 7 from the free throw line, and he also had eight rebounds. Hunter Dean was 5 of 5 shooting and 4 of 4 from the free throw line to finish with 14 points, while adding nine rebounds.
Bryce Harris led the Bison (1-2) in scoring, finishing with 19 points, two steals and two blocks. Jordan Wood added 16 points for Howard. William Settle also had 15 points and five assists.
George Washington entered halftime up 36-32. Brendan Adams paced the team in scoring in the first half with 10 points. George Washington outscored Howard in the second half by six points, with Lindo scoring a team-high 13 points in the final half.
