Gibson leads Oklahoma romp past UT Arlington, 70-50

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) — Umoja Gibson hit 4 of 8 3-point attempts and finished with 14 points and eight rebounds to lead Oklahoma to a 70-50 win over UT Arlington on Sunday.

Gibson hit three 3s in the first half and, after he hit two free throws with 4:16 left, the Sooners held a 28-9 lead and were up 35-18 and the break after David Azore hit a 3 at the buzzer for the Mavericks.

Oklahoma (9-2) hit 28 of 51 from the field (55%), including 8 of 21 from beyond the 3-point arc, and had 19 assists on its 28 made field goals. Tanner Groves scored 13 points and grabbed six rebounds. Jalen Hill added 12 points.

Azore finished 15 points to lead UT Arlington (3-7), which was held to 17-of-50 shooting from the field (34%), including 6 of 21 from long range.
