Jeanne-Rose scores 28 as Central Connecticut downs Saint Francis 71-62 in NEC Tournament

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (AP) — Allan Jeanne-Rose had 28 points in Central Connecticut's 71-62 win against Saint Francis on Wednesday night in the Northeast Conference Tournament.

The Blue Devils will host Wagner in the semifinals on Saturday.

Jeanne-Rose added five rebounds for the Blue Devils (20-10). Jordan Jones scored 18 points while shooting 7 of 12 from the field and 3 for 4 from the line.

The Red Flash (8-22) were led in scoring by Eli Wilborn, who finished with 19 points and six rebounds. Gestin Liberis added 10 points and seven rebounds for Saint Francis. Aidan Harris also had 10 points and two steals.

Jones' jump shot with 3:29 left in the second half gave Central Connecticut the lead for good at 62-61.
