King scores 22 as Tulane beats Nicholls State 91-81
NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Kolby King had 22 points in Tulane's 91-81 season-opening victory against Nicholls State on Monday night.
King also had three steals for the Green Wave. Sion James scored 21 points while going 7 of 16 from the floor, including 1 for 7 from 3-point range, and 6 for 6 from the line, and added five rebounds and four steals. Collin Holloway was 9 of 13 shooting and 2 of 3 from the free throw line to finish with 20 points.
The Colonels were led by Jamal West, who recorded 24 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Nicholls State also got 14 points, 13 rebounds and three blocks from Mekhi Collins. Diante Smith also had 11 points, seven rebounds and three steals.

Tulane next plays Thursday against Northwestern State at home. Nicholls State will visit LSU on Friday.
