Newman has 25 as Western Kentucky beats Jacksonville State 80-69

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) — Brandon Newman scored 25 points as Western Kentucky beat Jacksonville State 80-69 on Saturday night.

Newman added three steals for the Hilltoppers (13-4, 2-1 Conference USA). Don McHenry shot 6 for 15 (3 for 7 from 3-point range) and 4 of 4 from the free throw line to add 19 points.

KyKy Tandy led the Gamecocks (10-8, 2-1) in scoring, finishing with 25 points and three steals. Marcellus Brigham Jr. added 12 points and two steals for Jacksonville State.
