ROCK HILL, S.C. (AP) — Kelton Talford's 17 points helped Winthrop defeat IUPUI 74-61 on Saturday night.
Talford was 4 of 7 shooting and 9 of 10 from the free throw line for the Eagles (3-2). KJ Doucet scored 16 points while shooting 6 for 11 (1 for 3 from 3-point range) and 3 of 6 from the free throw line, and added six rebounds. Sin'Cere McMahon was 4 of 7 shooting (3 for 6 from 3-point range) to finish with 12 points.
The Jaguars (2-3) were led in scoring by Kidtrell Blocker, who finished with 15 points. Jlynn Counter added 13 points, nine rebounds and two steals for IUPUI. Bryce Monroe also put up 11 points and two steals.
