UMKC hosts South Dakota State after Appel's 41-point performance

BOTTOM LINE: South Dakota State visits the UMKC Kangaroos after Luke Appel scored 41 points in South Dakota State's 106-102 overtime victory over the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles.

The Kangaroos are 11-3 in home games. UMKC ranks fourth in the Summit shooting 37.4% from downtown, led by Justus Peuser shooting 50.0% from 3-point range.

The Jackrabbits are 17-0 against conference opponents. South Dakota State leads the Summit with 15.7 assists. Baylor Scheierman paces the Jackrabbits with 4.7.
