Palmer-Smith, King combine for 300 yards, 2 TDs to lead Richmond past North Carolina A&T 20-17

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Zach Palmer-Smith had 200 yards rushing and Andrew King added 100 and each had a touchdown run to lead Richmond past North Carolina A&T 20-17 on Saturday.

Justin Fomby's 38-yard touchdown pass to Anthony Rucker for North Carolina A&T capped the scoring with 8:20 remaining. The Aggies' last possession stalled at the Richmond 48 on an incomplete pass on fourth-and-2 with 4:32 left.

King broke loose for a 63-yard score to pull Richmond to 10-7 in the second quarter. Palmer-Smith's 8-yard touchdown run stretched the Spiders' lead to 20-10 with 4:04 to play in the third quarter.

Palmer-Smith had 26 carries and King finished with six. Brandon Peskin kicked field goals from 33 and 20 yards for Richmond (4-2, 2-0 Coastal Athletic Association).

Fomby was 22-of-27 passing for 261 yards. Rucker made eight catches for 91 yards and the pair connected on a 4-yard TD in the second quarter. Ger-Cari Caldwell had seven receptions for 130 yards for North Carolina A&T (1-5, 0-2).
