Powell and James combine for 4 TDs in Central Arkansas' 70-2 rout of NAIA's Texas College

CONWAY, Ark. (AP) — ShunDerrick Powell and Kylin James each ran for a pair of touchdowns to lead Central Arkansas in a 70-2 rout of NAIA-member Texas College on Saturday night.

Powell broke loose for a 62-yard touchdown run on his first carry about 40 seconds into the game. He added a 22-yarder on his next run on the Bears' next possession. James had scoring runs from 25 and three yards and finished with 103 yards rushing on 10 carries while Powell added 87 on just three carries. Four others ran in for scores for Central Arkansas (1-1).

Will McElvain and Austin Myers each had a touchdown pass for the Bears.

Brodderick Brown and Isiah Sadler were a combined 12-of-31 passing for 43 yards and threw three interceptions for Texas College. Deiontray Hill made three catches for for 33 yards.
