LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) — Bre’Amber Scott scored 31 points, her second straight game with 30-plus, and Texas Tech beat No. 25 Texas 68-64 on Wednesday night for its third straight victory.

Texas Tech beat Texas for the third straight season, doing so for the first time since 2006-09. Tech also recorded a win over a top-25 team for the third consecutive season.

Scott, the reigning Big 12 player of the week after a 37-point performance on Saturday, was 8 of 18 from the field and 10 of 14 at the free-throw line. The Red Raiders needed Scott's free-throw shooting down the stretch as they made just one field goal in the final four minutes.

Texas got within 63-62 when DeYona Gaston grabbed an offensive rebound and put it back with 1:21 left. Jasmine Shavers made two free throws at the other end to extend Texas Tech’s lead to four points, and Scott made 3 of 4 free throws the rest of the way to seal it.
