LOPEZ PROGRESSING

Bucks center Brook Lopez has worked out this week with players from Milwaukee’s G-League team, the Wisconsin Herd.

Lopez is making progress to return to the team after being sidelined since the season opener due to back surgery. He has been able to go 5-on-5 with help from the Herd.

“It has been invaluable,” Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer said. “It’s one of the benefits of the G-League and having a team that’s close (in Oshkosh) and the schedule. Thank goodness, they weren’t on trip to Maine or wherever. Brook has done well. He’s making the right steps, the right progress. This is probably the most important (time).”

Budenholzer said Lopez will travel with the team on its upcoming four-game Western trip that starts Saturday against Golden State.
