Lamar Jackson returns from illness to participate in part of Baltimore's practice
OWINGS MILLS, Md. (AP) — Quarterback Lamar Jackson practiced Wednesday for the Baltimore Ravens after he missed the first three sessions of training camp because he was sick.
Jackson did head back inside before practice was over, but the reigning NFL MVP's presence for at least some of it was obviously welcome.
“It's great having him there,” offensive coordinator Todd Monken said. “I'm not tied in to where he's at at this moment, but it was great to have him back in meetings and on the field.”
Coach John Harbaugh wasn't available after the practice. Monken did speak and said Jackson's absence hasn't set the offense back at this early stage of camp.
“We had all offseason. Lamar was a part of that," Monken said. "But it was great for the other quarterbacks to get the work.”
