LONDON (AP) — Newly promoted English Premier League club Brentford signed winger Yoane Wissa to a four-year contract on Tuesday.

The 24-year-old Congo international joins the west London club from French team Lorient for an undisclosed transfer fee. The deal includes an option for a fifth season.

Wissa scored 27 goals over the past two seasons in France and can play multiple positions.

“He has that pace and power which we think is really important to be a threat in behind,” Brentford manager Thomas Frank said. “He has good ability to take on players and create overloads. He also has good pressing abilities. He will need to learn our style of play, but he fits the pressing criteria we want from a winger, a striker, or a number 10.”
