Grayson Waller def. Asher Hale

In an encounter that certainly wasn’t lacking in mid-match trash talk, Grayson Waller improved to 2-0 on the purple brand while dealing Asher Hale his second consecutive loss.

Hale staggered his larger opponent when the fight spilled to ringside, clobbering Waller with a flying knee from the apron and sending him crashing to the ringside floor.

Waller nevertheless recovered in time to drop Hale neck-first into the top rope before landing a stunner and a stomp for the 1-2-3.

Waller applauded Hale and reached out for a handshake after the bout. When Hale attempted to accept, however, Waller pulled his arm back, quickly exited and danced his way back up the ramp.

Ikemen Jiro def. Tony Nese

During a backstage confrontation between August Grey and Ariya Daivari earlier in the day, The Persian Lion promised to help himself to a ringside view of his tag team partner’s bout. Grey, however, appeared to bait him into watching from the backstage area when he wondered aloud if Daivari didn’t think Tony Nese could defeat Ikemen Jiro on his own, setting the stage for a true one-on-one battle.

The Premier Athlete made zero attempts to hide his contempt for the eccentric Jiro, yanking him to the mat by his hair and mocking Jiro by donning a jacket in the middle of the match.

Jiro, who once again wore his own jacket from bell to bell, fired back with a barrage of stiff forearms, a kick to the jaw and a senton bomb that yielded a two-count.

Nese seemed to be closing in on a win after a top-rope hurricanrana, but Jiro narrowly kicked out and remained undefeated on 205 Live after connecting with the Ikemen Slash, a punishing kick to the head.
