Randy Orton called out Drew McIntyre for SummerSlam

One week removed from taking out Big Show with a ruthless punt kick, The Viper kicked off Raw by declaring that he will do whatever he wants, whenever he wants, and no one can stop him. However, Randy Orton has felt like something is missing. He wants to be WWE Champion again. Standing in his way, though, is Drew McIntyre, whom he challenged to a title showdown at SummerSlam.

Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler got into a brawl

As Orton made his way to the backstage area, Nia Jax stormed past him to the ring, ready to air her grievances with the Raw Women’s Title picture and her lack of involvement. But before The Irresistible Force could utter another word, Shayna Baszler arrived and stepped right up to Jax. That set off a brawl that needed nearly every referee in the building to pull the two fierce Superstars apart.

Andrade & Angel Garza def. The Viking Raiders and Ricochet & Cedric Alexander to earn a Raw Tag Team Title opportunity at SummerSlam

With Raw Tag Team Champions The Street Profits sitting ringside to scout the competition, three of the red brand’s toughest tag teams squared off for the right to challenge the titleholders at SummerSlam. At the apex of the fray, Ivar took out his own partner Erik, Ricochet and Alexander, allowing Garza to hit the Wing Clipper on Alexander for the victory. Andrade & Garza did not wait long to fire the first shot at the champions, ambushing Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford at the announcers’ desk.

Nia Jax vs. Shayna Baszler ended in a double count-out

After their confrontation earlier in the evening, Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler were scheduled to go one-on-one. However, the ring could not contain their fury, resulting in a double count-out as the two Superstars brawled around ringside. Not even security, referees or WWE officials could stop the rampage, as Jax and Baszler disposed of them in ruthless fashion.

Dominik Mysterio confronted Seth Rollins; Murphy shoved Aleister Black’s eye into the steel ring steps

As The Monday Night Messiah attempted to continue his crusade for the greater good, he called Dominik Mysterio to the ring. Rey Mysterio’s son, who was at Raw to confront Seth Rollins, obliged, but he immediately tackled The Monday Night Messiah. The brash attack did not end well for Dominik, as Rollins and his disciple Murphy turned the tables on him, repeatedly tossing him into the ringside barricades.

But as Rollins contemplated his next move, Aleister Black came to the rescue. After the arm injury that he suffered last week, The Dutch Destroyer was overwhelmed by Rollins & Murphy.

What happened next was despicable. Rollins Stomped Black, then told Murphy he “knows what he has to do.” Murphy subjected Black to the same “sacrifice” Rey Mysterio endured months ago, pressing Black’s eye into the steel ring steps. But before any more damage could be done, Dominik regrouped and chased off Rollins & Murphy with a series of Kendo stick strikes.

R-Truth tried to reclaim the 24/7 Title on MVP’s “VIP Lounge”

Ahead of Mustafa Ali’s battle with Bobby Lashley, MVP tried to recruit the returning Superstar into The Hurt Business. Despite MVP’s pleading, Ali was not hearing any of it. And while MVP tried to convince Ali that he was making the wrong decision, R-Truth crashed the scene in hopes of reclaiming the 24/7 Championship from Shelton Benjamin, but he came up short.

Bobby Lashley def. Mustafa Ali

Mustafa Ali tried to capitalize on his successful return in this battle with The All Mighty. And while distractions from Akira Tozawa and his ninjas trying to dethrone Benjamin took Lashley off the ball momentarily, it was not enough to give Ali an opening for victory. The All Mighty exerted his will, applying his vicious Full Nelson to get the win.

Sasha Banks def. Asuka to become Raw Women’s Champion

The rules were clear in this bout: The Raw Women’s Championship could change hands by pinfall, submission, count-out, disqualification or if anyone interfered. Unfortunately, that was Asuka’s downfall.

Bayley brutally attacked Kairi Sane backstage, forcing Asuka to make a difficult decision – stay and defend her title, or abandon the match and save her best friend. The Empress of Tomorrow opted to rush to her friend and tag team partner’s side, taking the count-out loss. Asuka’s decision ensured that The Boss would become “Two Belts Banks” as her and Bayley’s grip around Raw and SmackDown continued to tighten.

Murphy def. Humberto Carrillo

After being Stomped into the steel ring steps by Seth Rollins, Humberto Carrillo was out for payback on The Monday Night Messiah’s disciple. But after inflicting unspeakable punishment on Aleister Black earlier in the night, Murphy was locked in, and he countered a flying attack from Carrillo with Murphy’s Law to pick up the win.

Drew McIntyre def. Dolph Ziggler in an Extreme Rules Match

After addressing Randy Orton’s SummerSlam challenge, Drew McIntyre revealed his stipulation for this rematch with Dolph Ziggler – an Extreme Rules Match, this time with the rules applying to both competitors.

In a wild bout that saw tables, chairs and anything else within reach come into play, McIntyre sent Ziggler crashing through a table with a thunderous Claymore to get the three-count. But before McIntyre could revel in his victory, Randy Orton made good on his promise that the WWE Champion would never see an RKO coming, dropping McIntyre on the spot, upping the ante for their battle at SummerSlam.

Randy Orton to kick off Raw by announcing his next target

Who will The Viper look to strike next? We’ll find out at the start of Raw this Monday night when Randy Orton kicks off the show by announcing his next target.

The Legend Killer has been on an absolute tear in recent weeks. First, he toppled Edge in The Greatest Wrestling Match Ever at WWE Backlash, then mercilessly took out Christian in an Unsanctioned Match the next night.

Not even The World’s Largest Athlete could stymie the dastardly Orton, as Big Show also fell victim to an RKO and a punt in a brutal Unsanctioned Match last week.

After dismantling legend after legend with savage yet surgical precision, who will The Viper take aim at next? And will they have any chance of slowing Orton down?

Three Raw tag teams to battle for title bout at SummerSlam

Ricochet & Cedric Alexander, The Viking Raiders and Andrade & Angel Garza will battle it out on Raw, and the victors will punch their ticket to The Biggest Event of the Summer, where they will challenge Raw Tag Team Champions The Street Profits for the titles.

Ricochet & Alexander have gelled seamlessly to form one of the most exciting tag teams in WWE, using their incredible quickness to make their opponents’ heads spin. If they can establish a fast pace and take to the skies in the early goings of this Triple Threat Tag Team Match, they could be too much for their opponents to handle.

The Viking Raiders have become pals with The Street Profits in recent weeks and months, enjoying a game of one-upmanship against Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins in the “Anything You Can Do, We Can Do Better” challenge, but the former titleholders are undoubtedly eyeing another opportunity at the tandem prize. If Erik & Ivar can turn the bout into an exchange of power moves and haymakers against their much smaller opponents, they will almost certainly have the inside track to The Biggest Event of the Summer.

Andrade & Angel Garza have each tasted singles gold in WWE, but neither has won any tag team accolades, and sharing the spotlight has been quite a challenge for both bombastic Superstars. Although they do occasionally butt heads and get under each other’s skin, Zelina Vega’s charges have proven to be an effective tag team when they’re on the same page, and they’ll certainly have a chance on Raw, provided they can get along.

Rey Mysterio's son Dominik is coming to Raw to confront Seth Rollins

After a grotesque victory over Rey Mysterio, Seth Rollins declared that no one was left to “stand in the way of the greater good.” But there’s one more man willing to defy The Monday Night Messiah.

Rey Mysterio's son, Dominik, is coming to Raw to confront Rollins this Monday night.

The Black Hand of Raw defeated Rey Mysterio at The Horror Show at WWE Extreme Rules, extracting his eye in the disturbing, first-ever Eye for an Eye Match. The next night, Rollins said Raw was now “free to fulfill its potential,” and he drew the ire of Aleister Black after blaming the WWE Universe and Rey Mysterio himself for Rollins’ actions.

But Black, too, suffered the wrath of Rollins and Murphy, who targeted his arm in a vicious attack after their one-on-one match.

With The Monday Night Messiah having taken out his father, Dominik is sure to be less than cordial. But can he avoid a similar fate?
