The United States Championship Invitational features Rey Mysterio, Sheamus, Cameron Grimes and LA Knight battling in their first step toward a future U.S. Title Match! The winner of the Fatal 4-Way Match will go on to face Santos Escobar, who won the first Fatal 4-Way Match on the July 28 edition of SmackDown. Whoever emerges victorious in that one-on-one showdown gets to challenge Austin Theory for the star-spangled title.
