WALTER’s run as NXT United Kingdom Champion has been one of the most dominant title reigns in WWE history. Now, it’s also record-breaking.

The Ring General reached 686 days as champion Friday evening, surpassing Pete Dunne’s previous record of 685 as the longest-reigning NXT United Kingdom Champion ever.

It’s also the longest reign by any champion in WWE since Hulk Hogan’s first WWE Championship run lasted for 1,474 days between 1984 and 1988.

WALTER won the title by dethroning Dunne at NXT TakeOver: New York on April 5, 2019 and has fought off all comers since. The leader of Imperium has turned aside challenges from several of NXT UK’s most talented Superstars, including Tyler Bate, Ilja Dragunov, Joe Coffey, Dave Mastiff and most recently, A-Kid.
