205 Live results: Dec. 11, 2020: Stallion, Grey & Adonis outlast Legado del Fantasma in thrilling bout
Tony Nese & Ariya Daivari def. The Bollywood Boyz
Tony Nese and Ariya Daivari thought they had an ace up their sleeve when they enlisted The Bollywood Boyz and Ever-Rise to interfere on their behalf in a recent Fatal 5-Way Match.
The Premier Athlete and The Persian Lion reasoned that bribing the quartet would ensure that one of them claim the victory and earn a chance to challenge NXT Cruiserweight Champion Santos Escobar, but the move backfired when Curt Stallion emerged from the chaos with the win.
Nese and Daivari refused an offer from Samir and Sunil to continue to assist them and instead looked to take out their frustrations on their fellow 205 Live OGs.
The Bollywood Boyz came within an eyelash of a win when they leveled Nese with the Bollywood Blast, but Nese interrupted the count. Moments later, Nese tattooed Sunil with Running Nese at the ringside area, and Daivari sealed the victory with a picture-perfect Persian Splash to Samir.
Curt Stallion, August Grey & Ashante “Thee” Adonis def. Legado del Fantasma
Success certainly hasn’t come easy for Curt Stallion on 205 Live.
As soon as he stepped onto the purple brand, the Texas native found himself in the crosshairs of 205 Live OGs Tony Nese and Ariya Daivari. He was also forced to miraculously fight off interference from The Bollywood Boyz and Ever-Rise and claim a win during a frenetic Fatal 5-Way Match, and he has endured several beatdowns from Legado del Fantasma ever since becoming the No. 1 contender to NXT Cruiserweight Champion Santos Escobar.
Of course, enlisting partners the caliber of August Grey and Ashante “Thee” Adonis for a Six-Man Tag Team Match certainly doesn’t hurt.
Grey scored the first big blow with an innovative powerbomb to Joaquin Wilde, but he soon found himself the victim of a triple-team mugging. Once Grey finally made a diving tag to Stallion, the Texas native hit the ring like a ball of fire, unleashing several strikes on Wilde and Mendoza while Escobar kept his distance.
Moments later, Wilde and Mendoza appeared to have Stallion teed up for their high-low combo, but when Mendoza bounced off the ropes, Adonis reached under the bottom rope and yanked him to the ringside area, allowing Stallion to roll up Wilde for the three-count!
Escobar, Wilde and Mendoza were quick to pounce on Stallion after the match, but Grey and Adonis jumped back into the ring to deter Legado del Fantasma before too much damage could be inflicted. As Wilde and Mendoza stood on the apron, Stallion popped back up and shoved both to the ringside floor as 205 Live concluded.
