Dante Chen def. Malik Blade

And just like that, Dante Chen is 1-0 on both 205 Live and NXT 2.0.

After defeating Trey Baxter during his first WWE match on NXT 2.0, Chen proved it wasn’t a fluke by besting athletic newcomer Malik Blade in his inaugural bout on the purple brand.

Blade stunned Chen by going sky-high for a pinpoint dropkick to the head, but Chen largely remained in control and connected with a guillotine drop for the victory.

Amari Miller def. Valentina Feroz

Seemingly hellbent on not falling to 0-2 against her newfound rival, Amari Miller stormed out of the starting blocks against Valentina Feroz, landing the first big blow when she wiggled free from an armbar and whipped her opponent to the canvas with a snapmare and a kick to the spine.

Feroz turned the tide by hurling Miller around the squared circle with a series of judo tosses.

Nevertheless, “The In-Ring Thriller” came up clutch when she kicked out of a small package and twice drove Feroz’s face into her knee to earn the 1-2-3. After the bell, Miller helped Feroz to her feet, and the two embraced.

Rubber match, anyone?

Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel def. Ikemen Jiro & Trey Baxter

Though Ikemen Jiro and Trey Baxter have captivated the 205 Live Universe with their high-flying attacks, Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel emphatically reminded everyone just why they’re former NXT Tag Team Champions and one of the most respected duos on any brand in WWE.

Stoic as ever, Aichner and Barthel methodically isolated Baxter from his corner in the early goings and clobbered their foes with stereo clotheslines right when it appeared that Baxter and Jiro might get rolling.

After Baxter absorbed tremendous punishment, he finally made a diving tag to Jiro, who hit the ring like a ball of fire and laid waste to both of his opponents in a flurry that was capped off by an Asai moonsault to Aichner.

Imperium went to the bag of tricks, however, when Barthel shoved Baxter off the top rope and into the arms of Aichner, who dropped his smaller adversary with a suplex. Moments later, an Imperium Bomb to Baxter decided the outcome.
