Gunther stepped to NXT Champion Bron Breakker
As Bron Breakker looked back at a rollercoaster weekend that included inducting his father and uncle into the WWE Hall of Fame and losing his NXT Championship Match at Stand & Deliver before reclaiming the title against Dolph Ziggler on Monday Night Raw, Gunther stepped into the ring to state that he couldn't call himself a champion without facing The Ring General. Breakker agreed to the claim and to putting his title on the line in a main event showdown.
The Creed Brothers are attacked after defeating Imperium
Frustrated after having never been pinned in their Triple Threat Match for the NXT Tag Team Titles at Stand & Deliver, The Creed Brothers bum-rushed the ring and attacked Imperium, stating they would run through anyone to get another title opportunity.
As Marcel Barthel went for Imperium's tandem dropkicks on the apron, Fabian Aichner simply walked away and up the entrance ramp, leaving Barthel to fend for himself. Stunned by Aichner's actions, Barthel was left alone to suffer a massive body slam and clothesline for the pinfall.
While The Creed Brothers celebrated the victory, two hooded assailants slipped into the ring behind them and smashed a pair of chairs across their backs, taking off their hoods to reveal the mysterious duo as Pretty Deadly.
New North American Champion Cameron Grimes was challenged by Solo Sikoa
Newly crowned North American Champion Cameron Grimes was still in shock as he spoke on finally being able to call himself a champion and making good on a promise he made to his late father.
As he rejoiced on his accomplishment, he promised the NXT Universe he was not content on just winning the title, which brought Solo Sikoa to the ring. The Street Champion challenged Grimes to a title match, and Grimes accepted.
Dexter Lumis vs. Duke Hudson ended in a double count-out
Despite the NXT Universe's overwhelming choice of Indi Hartwell & Dexter Lumis, The Tortured Artist squared off with Duke Hudson in another battle to decide who is the "It Couple" of NXT 2.0.
The pair's significant others could not help but get involved. After a huge spinebuster by Lumis, Hartwell pushed Hudson's foot off the ropes but to no avail. As action spilled outside the ring, Lumis and Hudson got locked into a tug of war around the ring post. Pirotta and Hartwell attempted to aid in the struggle, but their assistance backfired as they lost their grips, and both Lumis and Hudson were sent flying into the ring post, resulting in a double count-out.
Toxic Attraction def. Raquel Gonzalez & Dakota Kai to reclaim the NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles
Just three days removed from becoming two-time NXT Women's tag Team Champions, Raquel Gonzalez & Dakota Kai once again locked horns with Toxic Attraction in a rematch from Stand & Deliver.
The power and athleticism of Gonzalez & Kai was on display, but Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne did whatever it took to get their tag titles back, leveling Kai with a clothesline before targeting Big Mami Cool's knee that they had previously injured.
As Toxic Attraction isolated Kai following a neckbreaker and superkick in quick succession, Kai was able to somehow escape and tag in Gonzalez. The former NXT Women's Champion went for a powerbomb, but Dolin countered it with a stunner as Wendy Choo made her way to the ring.
Unlike at Stand & Deliver, though, Mandy Rose raced in and threw Choo into the steel steps. Gonzalez hoisted up Dolin for a Chingona Bomb, but Rose hopped on the apron to distract the ref, and Jayne jumped in to take out Big Mami Cool's bad leg, softening her up for a Toxic Shock and the victory.
AJ Galante led Tony D’Angelo’s “Made Man” ceremony
After dispatching Tommaso Ciampa at Stand & Deliver, Tony D'Angelo was initiated as the new "Don of NXT" by his friend and cohort AJ Galante.
Nikkita Lyons def. Lash Legend
Lash Legend and Nikkita Lyons wasted little time going right after one another at the opening bell, but Legend quickly earned the upper hand following a big boot and an elbow drop. After Lyons roared back with a suplex, the two alpha females slugged it out in the middle of the ring, exchanging blows until Lyons drove Legend into the corner.
Lyons climbed her way up to deliver a massive superplex for a two-count. Legend looked to come back after kicking out but was quickly caught by Lyons' spinning roundhouse kick and split-legged splash to suffer the pinfall.
Bron Breakker def. Gunther to retain the NXT Championship
In possibly his biggest test as NXT Champion, Bron Breakker ran into a brick wall in Gunther as the two heavyweights slugged it out for the title.
The two titans threw themselves at each other, but Breakker was the first to leave his feet following a huge boot from The Ring General. The NXT Champion did not stay down for long, popping up to catch and plant Gunther for a mid-air body slam before nearly splitting him in half with a spear. Breakker went for a Gorilla Press Slam, but the wear and tear from the past few days caught up with him, and he was unable to lift Gunther, who capitalized by launching Breakker into the steel steps.
Gunther focused on Breakker's shoulder, but he could not keep him down as Breakker somehow managed to power out of the submission hold and powerslam Gunther. Incensed, Gunther threw everything he had left at Breakker with a monstrous powerbomb, splash from the top ropes and a clothesline in quick succession for a trio of shocking near-falls.
As Gunther attempter another splash, Breakker caught him in mid-air with a spear. In a last ditch effort, Gunther locked in a sleeper hold, but Breakker slipped out and delivered a clothesline before picking up The Ring General for a huge gorilla press powerslam to retain his title.
As Breakker stood tall in the ring, his father Rick Steiner appeared on the TitanTron to congratulate him before the camera panned out to reveal he was locked inside a cage with Joe Gacy and Harland promising to "teach this old dog new tricks" as the show went off the air.
