Karrion Kross was forced to relinquish the NXT Title
Karrion Kross battled through a separated shoulder to dethrone Keith Lee as NXT Champion at NXT TakeOver: XXX. However, the severity of Kross' injury will prevent him from being medically cleared for the foreseeable future, forcing him to relinquish the NXT Title.
Breezango def. Imperium to become the new NXT Tag Team Champions
The second time was the charm for Fandango & Tyler Breeze to finally capture their first gold in WWE. Rising to the occasion, Breezango capitalized on a misfired double-team attack by Marcel Barthel & Fabian Aichner, allowing Fandango to make a much-needed tag to Breeze, who delivered superkicks left and right. After tagging himself back in, Fandango put them away by hitting a double leg drop on both opponents for the massive victory.
Tommaso Ciampa def. Jake Atlas
The Blackheart made a huge statement in his first NXT action in more than two months, dismantling Jake Atlas in short order. But Tommaso Ciampa wasn't done at the closing bell, pouring on the onslaught in vicious fashion against Atlas, even continuing to attack him after he had been loaded onto a stretcher.
Shotzi Blackheart def. Mia Yim
Shotzi Blackheart once again made life living hell for Robert Stone, running him over with her tank for a third time before competing in this match against Mia Yim. Blackheart also took care of business in the ring, defeating The HBIC after a top-rope senton.
William Regal announced a 4-Way Iron Man Match to determine the NXT Champion
After conferring with Triple H, Shawn Michaels and NXT management, the NXT General Manager announced that Finn Bálor, Tommaso Ciampa, Adam Cole and Johnny Gargano would battle next week in the first-ever, 4-Way 60-minute Iron Man Match to crown a new NXT Champion.
NXT Cruiserweight Champion Santos Escobar def. Isaiah "Swerve" Scott
Santos Escobar eschewed the rest of Legado del Fantasma's help, ordering them backstage as he made his way to the ring. However, they eventually got involved before being neutralized at ringside by Breezango joining the fray. Escobar donned a luchadore mask before blasting Isaiah "Swerve" Scott with a huge headbutt to put him away.
Kyle O'Reilly def. Drake Maverick
Seeking payback for Undisputed ERA's attack during his match two weeks ago, Drake Maverick came into this bout a house of fire, even taking out Bobby Fish and Roderick Strong at ringside with a top-rope senton. Kyle O'Reilly eventually took control, forcing Maverick to submit to a leg lock. Fish and Strong looked to escalate things afterward with a chair until Killian Dain stormed the ring and cleared house before dropping Maverick as well.
Dakota Kai & Raquel González def. NXT Women's Champion Io Shirai & Rhea Ripley
Dakota Kai & Raquel González enjoyed some help from Mercedes Martinez, who ambushed Rhea Ripley during this bout, leaving Io Shirai on her own momentarily. Ripley was weakened from Martinez's assault when she finally tagged in, and González took advantage, dropping her with a blistering big boot and a massive slam to pin the former NXT Women's Champion.
Shirai joins forces with Ripley to battle Kai & González
Mutual enemies create strange bedfellows, as will be the case when NXT Women's Champion Io Shirai teams with Rhea Ripley against Dakota Kai & Raquel González.
Shirai retained her title at NXT TakeOver: XXX with a hard-fought win over Kai, but she felt the wrath of González, her enforcer, afterward.
However, Ripley joined to scene to even the odds, standing toe-to-toe with González in a showdown of perhaps the two most powerful women in NXT. But The Nightmare couldn't help but leave before also locking her eyes on Shirai and her former championship.
The Genius of the Sky is surely happy to finally have backup, but will she be able to co-exist with one of the top contenders for her NXT Women's Title?
Tommaso Ciampa set to return to NXT tonight
The Blackheart is back!
For the first time in nearly three months, Tommaso Ciampa will return to NXT tonight.
The NXT Universe hasn't seen Ciampa since he declined to comment in a WWE Network Exclusive following his loss to Karrion Kross at NXT TakeOver: In Your House.
The defeat against Kross undoubtedly represented a setback for Ciampa, who was visibly disappointed after coming up short against his destructive rival. But with a history of overcoming career-altering injuries, the former NXT Champion is more than familiar with bouncing back in the face of adversity.
Be sure to tune in to NXT on USA Network at 8/7 C tonight to see what Ciampa's next move will be!
NXT Tag Team Champions Imperium vs. Breezango
Just days after their Triple Threat Match victory at NXT TakeOver: XXX, Breezango will challenge Imperium for the NXT Tag Team Titles tonight on WWE NXT.
Breezango became No. 1 contenders to the NXT Tag Team Championship on the NXT TakeOver: XXX Pre-Show, with a decisive victory over Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch and Legado del Fantasma, thanks to a Supermodel Kick by Prince Pretty to Lorcan.
Since bringing the age of Imperium to the United States and becoming champions, Barthel & Aichner have remained on top of the NXT tag team division. Marcel Barthel & Fabian Aichner have been victorious over Breezango in the past. Will the fashionable pairing of Prince Pretty & Fandango ride the momentum of their TakeOver: XXX victory and waltz their way to a title? Tune in to NXT on USA Network, tonight at 8/7 C.
What's next for new North American Champion Damian Priest?
Damian Priest took one giant step toward living forever by becoming the new North American Champion at NXT TakeOver: XXX.
Priest overcame four other Superstars, including a pair of former champions, in a jaw-dropping Ladder Match to claim the North American Title.
Now that he's just days removed from the biggest win of his promising career, what's next for The Archer of Infamy?
Can lightning strike twice for "Swerve" against Escobar?
Isaiah "Swerve" Scott is still the only man in NXT with a victory over Santos Escobar. Will lightning strike twice when the NXT Cruiserweight Title on the line?
We'll find out Tuesday night as they go one-on-one.
Escobar and Legado del Fantasma have largely enforced their will over the Cruiserweight division, using the numbers game to their advantage on NXT and 205 Live. "Swerve," who hasn't kept his desire for the NXT Cruiserweight Championship a secret, has complicated their lives, though, joining forces with Breezango in their recent rivalry with Escobar, Joaquin Wilde and Raul Mendoza.
"Swerve" proved once that he could beat Escobar during the NXT Cruiserweight Title Tournament. Now, can he do it again to capture his first championship in WWE?
