Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne made the climb to become NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions
Toxic Attraction's Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne defied the odds and rose above Io Shirai & Zoey Stark and Persia Pirotta & Indi Hartwell to earn the NXT Women's Tag Team Titles in a punishing Triple Threat Scareway to Hell Ladder Match.
Shirai & Stark and Hartwell & Pirotta worked together keep Toxic Attraction from gaining any momentum in the match, but the truce did not last long as Hartwell eventually found herself trading blows with Stark atop a ladder. Stark nearly had the titles in her hand after knocking Hartwell off the ladder and outside the ring, but Pirotta jumped into action to push the ladder over, sending Stark, who landed feet-first on the top rope, vaulting into the rest of the competitors standing outside the ring.
Pirotta then leveled anyone who stepped inside the ring as she looked to climb the ladder until Jayne pulled off the reversal to send her face-first into a ladder. Jayne wasn't out of harm's way for long, though, as Shirai reemerged to powerbomb her onto a ladder before delivering a devastating moonsault.
It was all out chaos as each Superstar sent one another flying into ladders trying to gain the upper hand. It looked as if Hartwell would claim victory after pushing Shirai off the top of a ladder and through another ladder, but before she could unclip the titles, Dolin raced up and delivered a thunderous kick to send Hartwell flying and grab the Tag Team Championship for Toxic Attraction.
Joe Gacy def. Malik Blade
Joe Gacy has his issues with Halloween, but he stepped into the ring to make Halloween Havoc more inclusive and deliver a positive message with his opponent Malik Blade.
After Gacy sent Blade flying to the ringside floor, Harland stormed the ring and seized Blade. Before the ref could stop the match, Gacy stepped in to calm down Harland, who eventually released Blade from his clutches.
With the match resumed, Gacy connected with his back handspring clothesline to lay out Blade for the pinfall.
Roderick Strong def. Odyssey Jones
The biggest night of the year deserved the biggest opportunity, and Diamond Mine delivered with an open challenge to take on anyone. Out stepped Odyssey Jones, who happily accepted the offer for a one-on-one match with NXT Cruiserweight Champion Roderick Strong.
Strong looked to make it two wins in a row after his victory on 205 Live, but he once again ran into the brick wall that is Jones. After tossing the champ around, the numbers game eventually caught up to Jones as The Creed Brothers hopped onto the apron for the distraction.
Unfortunately for Julius and Brutus, Jones was ready and drilled the tag team partners, clearing them from the ring, but the diversion allowed Strong to surprise Jones with a pop-up knee to the jaw for the win.
Mandy Rose def. Raquel Gonzalez to win the NXT Women’s Title following a surprise attack from Dakota Kai
The battle for the NXT Women’s Championship was not decided by the wheel nor by Chucky, who turned the match into a Trick or Street Fight. Instead, Dakota Kai assaulted Gonzalez with a shovel, allowing Mandy Rose to take advantage.
The contempt between Big Mami Cool and the leader of Toxic Attraction was on full display as the two battered one another right as the opening bell sounded with Kendo sticks and chairs. Rose thought she had Gonzalez pinned after trapping her in a chair and delivering a vicious knee, but she could not get the champ inside the ring.
After escaping the chair, Gonzalez disoriented Rose by spraying her with a fire extinguisher, lifting her back into the ring and dropping her face-first through a tower of chairs for a two-count.
The two continued to trade near-falls after Big Mami Cool speared Rose through a table. As Gonzalez went to end the match, a mysterious hooded figure appeared outside the ring and bashed the champ in the back with a shovel. Brought to her knees, Gonzalez was in prime position for Rose to capitalize with a running knee and win the NXT Women's Championship.
After Rose left with her prize, the hooded figure stood above Gonzalez to reveal herself as Kai.
Imperium def. MSK to reclaim the NXT Tag Team Championship
The wheel of fate turned and decided the NXT Tag Team Championship would be defended in a Lumberjack O’Lantern Match between MSK and Imperium.
With action confined to the squared circle, Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner put on a massive display of power to hinder MSK’s high-flying offense.
After fending off a flurry from MSK, Imperium set up for the Imperial bomb, but Nash Carter sunset-flipped Aichner out of the ring to block it. With Barthel exposed on the top rope, Wes Lee ran across the ring to take him out, but Barthel leaned out of the way to send Lee flying into a pile of lumberjacks below. Barthel looked to add to the damage, but Carter jumped up to catch him from behind and deliver a flying neckbreaker to the floor.
The battered teams stumbled back into the squared circle as all out chaos broke out inside and outside the ring. The two teams traded strikes, but Imperium gained the upper hand with a penalty kick to Carter followed by a brain buster and Imperial Bomb to Lee for the pinfall victory.
Tommaso Ciampa retained the NXT Championship against Bron Breakker
Bron Breakker had Tommaso Ciampa’s back in the weeks leading up to their match to make sure the NXT Champion went into Halloween Havoc at full strength, but once the bell rang, all friendships were off as Breakker steamrolled the Champion.
Breakker looked far from a rookie in his first title match, but The Blackheart was well-prepared, turning the tables on the upstart with a running knee in the corner. The experienced Ciampa continued to keep Breakker at bay with a Willow's Bell and a jumping knee to the jaw, but he could only keep him down for a two-count.
The Champ did not let up, giving everything he had to keep Breakker down, including a DDT on the exposed concrete outside the ring followed by a Fairytale Ending, but it was still not enough as Breakker kicked out at two.
Stunned, Ciampa reset for three straight running knees and another Fairytale Ending to keep Breakker down for good.
