ImpactStar player Jalen Pickett was a surprise scratch ahead of tip-off with an hamstring issue which allowed Carpenter to be promoted into the starting lineup. The 6-5 freshman had seven points (2-6 FG, 1-3 3PT), a rebound and an assist in 18 minutes in his college debut on Saturday. It's unclear what Pickett is dealing with and how long he'll be out as Carpenter will be the main beneficiary in his absence for the time being.

ImpactPickett went through warmups to see how he felt but was moving around with a noticeable limp. He must've tweaked his hamstring in Saturday's game and will be forced to sit out Sunday's back-to-back series against Fairfield. The 6-4 junior has averaged a team-high 17.7 points and 9.7 rebounds per game this season as his absence will create a huge void in the lineup. Aidan Carpenter will step into a starting role with Pickett out.
