Logs 20 minutes off benchAustin (personal) did not attempt a field goal but had a rebound, a steal and missed both of his free throws during Saturday's 79-72 loss to Richmond.
ImpactAustin stepped away from the team in early January for personal reasons and missed eight straight games as a result. He was actually only away for about a week and has been practicing since Jan. 17 but head coach Keith Dambrot was adamant that he wasn't going to rush Austin back to game action. The 6-5 sophomore was a starter earlier in the year but appears to be positioned to come off the bench for the time being.

Bounce-back effort against DukesBurton finished with 16 points (5-9 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 3-4 FT), eight rebounds, two assists and a steal Saturday against Duquesne.
ImpactBurton was coming off of his worst effort of the season, going 1-7 from the floor at VCU on Wednesday. He's still in the midst of a breakout sophomore campaign, averaging 12.8 ppg and 7.6 rpg, and his stock figures to go through the roof next season once the Spiders experience attrition that figures to rob them of their four other starters.

Flirts with triple-double SaturdayGolden had 10 points (3-4 FG, 4-4 FT), eight rebounds, eight assists and a steal Saturday against Duquesne.
ImpactAn efficient effort from the senior, who facilitated much more than he was targeted offensively. Golden's numbers are down in what's likely his final season as a Spider, but he's averaging a very usable 13.2 ppg, 6.5 rpg and 3.7 apg while shooting 56 percent from the floor.

20 point effort at RichmondHughes had a season-high 20 points (9-16 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-3 FT), nine rebounds, four steals, three assists and a block Saturday at Richmond.
ImpactA solid return to action for Hughes, whose team hadn't played in 18 days, picking up right where he left off by scoring in double-digits in his seventh straight outing. If managers were impatient with Hughes, he's worth a look on your waiver wire, especially where center eligible.

In uniform for warmupsAustin (personal) is in uniform for warmups ahead of Saturday's game against Richmond, Noah Goldberg of ESPN Richmond reports.
ImpactAustin hasn't seen the floor since Jan. 5 for personal reasons, but it looks like he may be ready to retake the floor for the Dukes. The sophomore is averaging 4.8 points and 4.8 boards over 21.5 minutes in his four appearances this season and should retake a significant role when he's in game shape.
