Right back into prominent role Horton finished with 11 points (4-12 FG, 3-7 3Pt), three rebounds, one assist and two steals over 23 minutes during Sunday's 69-56 loss to Boston College.

Impact In his first game action since Jan. 5 and second overall appearance this season, Horton finished as the team's leading reserve and was one of just three players in double figures. Despite the time off due to an ongoing legal situation, it appears the junior guard will get right back into the mix. Horton is the leading returning scorer on this year's Panthers team, and with an overall record of 8-13, the team desperately needs the offensive spark he can provide.

Horton has only appeared in one game this season due to ongoing legal troubles, and in that Jan. 5 contest, he put up 13 points and four rebounds in 28 minutes. He'll provide an immediate backcourt boost for the Panthers after starting 18 of 22 games a season ago and recording 8.9 ppg. His immediate future, including his availability for Saturday's matchup at Boston College, is another question, as Jerry DiPaola of TribLive.com reports that his participation will be at the discretion of coach Jeff Capel.

Back on suspension Horton's legal charges have been refiled and he will go back on suspension, Chris Peak of Rivals.com reports.

Impact Horton's charges were only dismissed because one of the officers couldn't appear in court at the time. With those charges now back on the books, Horton is likely suspended indefinitely until a resolution is reached.

Next hearing in January Horton's preliminary hearing has been pushed back to Jan. 19, Craig Meyer of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Impact Horton's hearing was originally set to take place back on Nov. 18, but the case was continued after the alleged victim requested the presence of other eyewitnesses on the scene. This clouds the return date for Horton, as the school had previously stated the third-year guard would be unable to return to practices or games "until the legal process has been completed to the satisfaction of the University." Horton's legal team continues to deny any wrongdoing from the Nov. 6 incident that resulted in charges of aggravated assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.

Impact Horton was arrested last Saturday after he allegedly punched a police officer in the face. Horton was involved in a dispute with a towing company employee when police were called to the scene. The junior is coming off a solid season with Pittsburgh in which he started 18-of-22 games and averaged 8.9 points and 2.0 three-pointers per contest. Chayce Smith and Chris Payton are options that could see extended minutes in Horton's absence.
