Villanova rides 18-2 second-half run to win over Providence

Led by Justin Moore's 15 points, the Villanova Wildcats defeated the Providence Friars 71-60 in Big East action on Saturday.

Effective in win Moore totaled 13 points (4-7 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, one assist and one block in 31 minutes during Tuesday's 72-62 win over Butler.

Impact Moore joined Eric Dixon (22 points) and Brendan Hausen (13 points) as double-digit scorers for the Wildcats on Tuesday. Moore logged his highest minute share since Jan. 30, and his third double-digit scoring performance across his last 11 games. Despite his showing Tuesday, he is connecting on just 27.5 percent of 4.9 threes per game this season -- representing a career-worst mark for the fifth-year staple.

Impact Moore will make his return to the court following a five-game absence stemming from a knee injury. The 6-foot-5 senior started in the Wildcats' first 10 games this season, averaging 13.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 0.7 steals on 28.7 minutes per game, Moore will look to help Villanova (10-5) return to their dominance within the Big East starting with a showdown against the Blue Demons.
