It was always going to be a long shot for Bidunga to receive significant court time thanks to the depth and talent of the Jayhawks but more performances like this will likely elevate Bidunga into a greater role even without the aid of alternative circumstances such as an injury to free open some extra time in the rotation.

Impact Mayo certainly has the ability to score in bunches after back-to-back seasons of 18.0 ppg or greater at South Dakota State, but it was a bit surprising seeing the senior work in a reserve capacity after starting in exhibition play. That didn't affect his usage, however, as he led the Jayhawks in scoring and tied KJ Adams for the most minutes played. Mayo will look for a repeat performance in upcoming matchups against North Carolina (Friday) and Michigan State (Tuesday).
