ImpactMcGowens missed his first game of the season Sunday, but his absence didn't prevent the last-place Cornhuskers from scoring a road upset win over the conference-leading Wisconsin. The coaching and training staffs will likely wait and see how McGowens progresses over the next two days before deciding his status for the start of the tournament, but his availability in any capacity Wednesday would be a major boon for Nebraska. McGowens finished the regular season as Nebraska's leading scorer (17.2 points per game), and he also chipped in averages of 5.3 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.3 three-pointers and 0.7 steals in 33.3 minutes while starting in all 30 of his appearances.
