Keeps assists coming in return Wheeler (neck) ended with 21 points (8-10 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT), two rebounds, eight assists and two steals across 28 minutes during Saturday's 107-79 win over Tennessee. Impact Wheeler suffered a neck injury back on Jan. 4 that limited him to four minutes in a loss to LSU and forced him to miss the next two contests. The Georgia transfer was back in action nine days later and was pivotal in dishing out a lopsided defeat against a ranked Volunteers squad. In fact, it was his second best scoring effort of the season. Wheeler isn't asked to do as much here as he did with the Bulldogs, and his shooting percentage has jumped nearly seven points to 46.7 percent as a result. Outside shooting has still been a struggle, however, as he's made just two three-pointers since Nov. 16 and is shooting a career-low 20 percent from distance. Nonetheless, Wheeler has excelled in his primary role as a facilitator, dishing out 7.3 assists per contest, good for third in the nation.
