'Most improved' in Knoxville? Tennessee coach Rick Barnes told Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports that Vescovi is the most improved player on the roster and will see time at shooting guard. Impact Vescovi served as the primary point guard for much of Tennessee's 2020-21 season and was even the leading assist man at 3.1 apg. The Vols have since added a true point guard in the form of five-star freshman Kennedy Chandler, leading some to question whether Vescovi would see a reduction in counting stats during his third year with the program. Tennessee also brought in Justin Powell via the transfer portal, who served as a primary ball handler at Auburn last year. Still, it would be unwise to overlook Vescovi from a fantasy perspective, as even in a down scoring year, he produced well in the ancillary categories. He knocked down 2.0 three-pointers per game at a success rate of 37.3 percent, in addition to posting 3.7 rpg and 1.2 spg.
