Impact Curbelo presumably needs an NCAA waiver as a two-time undergrad transfer, and given he didn't see the court in the opener despite the Golden Eagles deploying 13 separate players, it appears that is the likely reason for his absence. Considering Curbelo's history of production with high-major schools, he'd likely be playing if cleared, but it's currently uncertain if or when that might happen. Southern Miss next faces Akron on Friday.
