Posts double-double against Illini Perkins racked up 17 points (6-13 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 3-7 FT), 12 rebounds, five assists and one steal in 34 minutes during Sunday's 74-72 loss to Illinois.
Impact Perkins played a season-high 34 minutes during Sunday's regular-season finale, and he led the team on the boards en route to his first double-double of the year. The sophomore scored in double figures in three of his four appearances to close out the regular season, and he averaged 14.0 points and 6.3 rebounds in 27.3 minutes per game during that time.

Impact With Perkins in the starting lineup, Joe Toussaint will shift to a bench role. The 6-foot-4 sophomore has appeared in all 21 games for Iowa this season and is averaging 6.7 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 16.4 minutes.

Impact Perkins has come off the bench in each of the first eight games of the 2021-22 campaign, but he's shown glimpses of production on the scoreboard. The sophomore has now scored in double figures in four of his last six appearances and has averaged 10.2 points in 16.3 minutes per game during that time.
