Jaylen Clark - Out for season Clark will sit out the remainder of the 2022-23 NCAA season because of an Achilles injury, according to Jeff Goodman of Stadium. Impact Previously considered out only for the 2023 Pac-12 Tournament, Clark will now have to sit out March Madness as well. That is a brutal blow for the UCLA Bruins, who are projected to be a No. 1 seed in this year's tournament. A lot of the Bruins' success should be credited to Clark, who was one of college basketball's best defenders and a serviceable scorer while healthy. Clark will have finished his junior season having averaged 13.0 points and 2.6 steals, both career highs. If his latest absence is any indication, David Singleton is expected to be a regular part of the Bruins' starting lineup across tournament games they play this spring.
