Participates in exhibition Lubin (eye) had four points (2-2 FG, 0-1 FT), three blocks, a rebound and an assist across 15 minutes off the bench in an exhibition contest Nov. 2 against Xavier (LA). Impact Lubin suffered an injury in practice that held him out of a late-October closed scrimmage against DePaul. He was back in action a little over a week later, though despite earlier reports that he'd be in the starting five, he came off the bench in this particular matchup and saw significantly less run than the starters. His participation level was an encouraging enough sign that he'll be in the clear for the Nov. 10 opener against Radford, though his role remains a bit murky. One aspect potentially working in his favor is that Marcus Hammond -- who started this exhibition game -- is dealing with a knee injury and set to sit in the opener. That leaves a starting spot open, though it's unclear yet if that means increased opportunity for the four-star freshman.
