Impact Basile exploded for 30 points in the season opener, and while he couldn't repeat those figures in this one, he still ended just two boards shy of a double-double while also putting up a solid stat line overall. Basile has looked good in his first two games with the Hokies, racking up 41 points, 18 rebounds and three assists over his first two outings.

Impact Maddox only averaged 6.4 points and 1.9 rebounds in 16.9 minutes across 36 games in 2021-22. However, he didn't start in any of those games, while he is in line to start at small forward this season. Maddox averaged 9.3 points per game over the final nine games last season. Considering his 51.3 field-goal percentage and 50.6 three-point percentage last season, combined with his increased role, a scoring breakout seems inevitable for the 6-foot-5 junior.
