Lands at Virginia Tech Hodge announced Aug. 7 via his personal Twitter account that he has committed to Virginia Tech as a graduate transfer from FCS Villanova. Impact The 6-foot-1, 200-pound Hodge was one of the more productive receivers in the FCS ranks last season, compiling 65 receptions for 1,118 yards and 13 touchdowns. Though he'll face a big jump in competition in moving to an FBS Power Five program, Hodge is still expected to earn a regular role in the Hokies' receiver rotation after the team's top target from 2019, Damon Hazelton, transferred to Missouri earlier in the offseason. Per Mike McDaniel of SI.com, Hodge has yet to practice with the Hokies yet while he completes the enrollment process and waits to clear COVID-19 protocols, but head coach Justin Fuente is optimistic that the fifth-year senior will be ready to go when Virginia Tech opens its season Sept. 12 versus North Carolina State.
