Totals 84 yards in tough win Taylor accrued 16 carries for 59 yards and caught all three targets for 25 yards during Saturday's 12-10 victory over Iowa. Impact Taylor continued to pace the Gophers' rushing game in his return from a two-game layoff with a leg injury. The true freshman running back did not log at least 22 carries for the first time since taking over Minnesota's starting running back job, as this was likely due to the team's inability to string together sustained drives in this defensive slugfest. Taylor's ability to still carry this rushing attack is encouraging, especially since RB2 Zach Evans (10 carries, 44 yards) came away from the win with an undisclosed injury. Should Evans miss time moving forward, then Taylor will likely have to carry a larger workload again Week 9 versus Michigan State.
