Luke Altmyer - Season-low yards in loss Altmyer completed 16 of 25 passes for 185 yards, one touchdown and one interception during Saturday's 21-7 loss against Penn State. He also had 15 rushes for -28 yards. Impact Altmyer led the Illinois offense down the field and scored on the opening drive of the game, ending the drive with a four-yard touchdown pass to tight end Carson Goda. Unfortunately for Illinois, that was their only score of the game as the stout Penn State defense clamped down, holding the Fighting Illini to under 150 total yards after the opening drive and forcing Altmyer's first interception of the season. Better days are ahead for the junior quarterback, starting after the bye on Saturday when the Fighting Illini host Purdue the following week.
