Impact Madsen suffered a leg injury that forced an early exit against New Mexico. The redshirt freshman quarterback will likely miss the last couple of games in the season. He has completed 60.7 percent of his passes for 1,197 yards, nine touchdowns and three interceptions this season. Danielson also indicates that Taylen Green will likely be starting under center.

Throws 42 times in loss Madsen was 22-for-42 passing for 258 yards, a touchdown and an interception during Saturday's 37-30 loss to Fresno State. He also had nine rushes for 61 yards and another score.

Impact After splitting snaps with Taylen Green for most of the season, Madsen was busy in his first game as the Bronco's primary starter, throwing 42 passes in the high-scoring loss. While the redshirt freshman hasn't officially been named the starter, he'd be in line for a nice matchup next week against New Mexico. Overall, Madsen's completed 62 percent of his passes for 989 yards, seven touchdowns and three interceptions this season.

Impact Madsen out-snapped Taylen Green 51-to-21 Saturday despite starting the game on the bench. It was one of the better performances for the redshirt freshman this season, as Madsen completed 80 percent of his passes for 147 yards and a touchdown. Overall, Madsen's thrown for 731 yards with six touchdowns and two interceptions through seven games while splitting reps with Green this season. He could very well be handed the reigns as the Broncos' starter next week against Fresno State.
