Steps up capably in bowl game Reed was 20-for-33 passing for 361 yards and one interception during Wednesday's 31-23 defeat versus Oklahoma State. He also had 10 rushes for 29 yards with one touchdown. Impact Reed wasn't expected to see action in the bowl game as the backup to Jaylen Henderson, but he wound up playing most of the game after Henderson departed early due to injury. The freshman posted an encouraging line in the contest, despite the 0:1 TD:INT ratio, and he tallied his first career touchdown on the ground. Unfortunately for Reed, both Conner Weigman (lower leg) and Henderson (arm) are eligible to return in 2024, so there are a logjam of options under center that could eventually result in one of the group transferring out of College Station.
