Emory Williams - Begins throwing in spring ball Williams (arm) has been seen working through throwing drills as the Hurricanes kick off spring practice, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports. Impact Williams, who underwent surgery on a compound fracture in his left arm, progressed through his recovery process as predicted. The 6-foot-5 freshman appeared in five games with Miami in 2023, throwing for 470 yards (44-of-71), three touchdowns and one interception. Williams is expected to backup Cameron Ward next season in Miami.
