Alex Hale - Starts 2021 with made FGHale connected on a 35-yard field goal in Saturday's 23-16 win over Missouri State.
ImpactHale was perfect on his only field goal attempt, however, did miss one of the team's three extra-point attempts. This is a bit of a surprise as the junior kicker was 18-for-18 on extra point attempts during the 2020 season. He'll look to get back on track against Tulsa next week.

Brennan Presley - Four catches in season openerPresley reeled in four catches for 68 yards in Saturday's 23-16 win over Missouri State.
ImpactPresley was the second leading receiver for the Cowboys as Tay Martin pulled down six catches for 107 yards and a touchdown. Both Presley and Martin should be able to find more success when Spencer Sanders (COVID-19 protocol) finds his way back to the line-up. That could happen as early as next week against Tulsa.

Tay Martin - Strong start to the seasonMartin grabbed six catches for 107 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 23-16 win over Missouri State.
ImpactMartin did not let a start from the back-up quarterback spoil his 2021 opener as he posted his first 100-yard receiving game since 2018. As expected, he was the Cowboys' top receiver and should be even better when Spencer Sanders (COVID-19 protocol) finds his way back to the line-up. Martin and Oklahoma State will host Tulsa next week.

Jaylen Warren - TD in debut with CowboysWarren rushed for nine yards and a touchdown on six carries while also adding two catches for 15 yards on two targets in Saturday's 23-16 win over Missouri State.
ImpactIt was a successful debut for the transfer from Utah State as he received the second most carries for the Cowboys behind starter LD Brown. With Brown struggling to just 30 yards on 15 carries, Warren will be worth watching to see if he can get more of the work in the backfield. Oklahoma State will play Tulsa next week.

LD Brown - Struggles against Missouri StateBrown rushed for 30 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries while adding two catches for two yards on four targets in Saturday's 23-16 win over Missouri State.
ImpactBrown also had a lost fumble while averaging just 2.0 yards per carry against a Missouri State defense that gave Oklahoma State all they could handle for four quarters. Reserve back Jaylen Warren also scored at touchdown, but it was Brown who dominated the carries with 15 of the team's 28 carries. He'll look to improve his production versus Tulsa next week.
SEPTEMBER 5, 2021ROTOWIRE
Shane Illingworth - Tale of two halves in winIllingworth completed 23 of 41 passes for 315 yards and a touchdown with an interception in Saturday's 23-16 win over Missouri.
ImpactIllingworth received the start after it was announced that Spencer Sanders was in the COVID-19 protocol. It was a tale of two halves for Illingworth who completed 65.2 percent of his passes with a touchdown in the first half compared to just 41.2 percent of his passes in the second half. Sanders is supposed to rejoin the team in the next couple of days, so stay tuned on who Oklahoma State's starter will be for their upcoming match-up with Tulsa.
