Conner Harrell - Officially demoted to QB2 Harrell will be North Carolina's backup quarterback after it announced Jacolby Criswell will start in Week 4 against James Madison, Matt Zenitz of 247Sports.com reports.

Impact Harrell was benched in UNC's blowout win over North Carolina Central, but not because the Tar Heels were up big. He got off to a sluggish start, completing 2 of 6 passes for 22 yards through two drives. That led head coach Mack Brown to turn to Criswell, and he immediately out-performed Harrell. Now, he's been relegated to QB2 duties for the foreseeable future.

Jacolby Criswell - Named Week 4 starter Criswell will start in Week 4 for North Carolina when the Tar Heels host JMU, Matt Zenitz of 247Sports.com reports.

Impact Criswell replaced Connor Harrell in North Carolina's win over North Carolina Central last week, and that move immediately payed dividends for Mack Brown's squad. He led a 41-yard scoring drive upon entering the game, and helped North Carolina cruise to a 45-10 win. The gunslinger finished with 161 yards passing and one touchdown on 60.9 percent completion. He's now effectively unseated Conner Harrell as the starter in Chapel Hill.
