Impact Despite recording just one catch, Owens was able to log his third touchdown of the season. Poor quarterback play did not help his cause as Alan Bowman was benched for Garret Rangel in the second half. On the season, Owens has been a tertiary option with 19 catches (on 37 targets) for 291 yards and three touchdowns. Brennan Presley and De'Zhaun Stribling remain the top options in the pass-game. Oklahoma State will play BYU in Week 8 after their bye week.

Impact Presley saw just three targets, a season-low, as the Cowboys were dominated by West Virginia. Poor quarterback play did not help as Alan Bowman was benched for Garret Rangel in the second half. With Oklahoma State's defense struggling on their current losing streak, expect Presley to be busy most weeks. The Cowboys are on a bye this week before playing a good BYU defense.

De'Zhaun Stribling - Catches TD from back-up QB Stribling compiled two receptions (on six targets) for 54 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 38-14 loss against West Virginia.

Impact Stribling's touchdown came on a 43-yard catch in the 4th quarter from back-up quarterback Garret Rangel. Rangel was inserted into the line-up after Alan Bowman was benched. Stribling has four touchdowns over his last four games and is one of Oklahoma State's top receivers. With the defense struggling for the Cowboys this year, Stribling should be busy for the remainder of the season regardless of who the starting quarterback is. The Cowboys are on a bye next week before playing a tough BYU defense.

Da'Wain Lofton - Nabs first three catches in 2024 Lofton gathered in all three targets for 73 yards during Saturday's 38-14 defeat to West Virginia.

Impact Lofton, a Virginia Tech transfer, recorded his first three catches with the Cowboys. The 73 receiving yards were a team high as Oklahoma State struggled moving the ball versus the Mountaineers. Oklahoma State is on a bye before playing a tough BYU defense.

Sesi Vailahi - Three carries in relief Vailahi compiled three carries for three yards and gathered in his only target for one yard during Saturday's 38-14 loss to West Virginia.

Impact Vailahi is the next man up as starter Ollie Gordon was forced out of the game with an undisclosed injury. The redshirt freshman has 25 carries for 41 yards and a touchdown. Stay tuned to see if the injury is more serious or if Gordon will be back for Oklahoma State's game with BYU in Week 8.

Impact Rangel received some playing time after Alan Bowman was benched. Bowman has thrown a pair of picks in three straight games for the Cowboys. Rangel was somewhat effective while completing four of five passes for 75 yards and a touchdown. The score was a 43-yard strike to De'Zhaun Stribling in the fourth quarter of the loss to West Virginia. With Oklahoma State on a bye this next week, they'll have to think long and hard on whether it's going to be Rangel or Bowman starting against a tough BYU defense in Week 8.

Impact Bowman threw a pair of picks in his third straight game which resulted in him being benched for Garret Rangel. Rangel completed four of five passes for 75 yards and a touchdown. With Oklahoma State on a bye this next week, they'll have to make a tough decision on whether it's Bowman or Rangel who will make the next start against a tough BYU defense.

Ollie Gordon II - Sustains injury Saturday Gordon (undisclosed) suffered an undisclosed injury early in the third quarter of Saturday's game against West Virginia, Jacob Unruh of The Oklahoman reports.

Impact Gordon suffered what looked to be a leg injury on a third down checkdown pass against the Mountaineers, staying down on the field before walking off gingerly. The 6-foot-2 junior, who is viewed as one of the top running backs in the 2025 NFL Draft class, recorded 13 carries for 50 yards prior to exiting the game. It remains to be seen if the backbone of the Cowboys' offense will be able to re-enter the game.
