Drew Allar - Keeps firing in OT win Allar was 30-for-43 passing for 391 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions during Saturday's 33-30 overtime win against USC. He also had four rushes for 32 yards. Impact Allar had an erratic performance in what was a chaotic game across the board for both the Nittany Lions and the Trojans. The junior quarterback threw a career-high three interceptions in this wire-to-wire shootout, including two during the Nittany Lions' comeback in the second half. But, he also found his top-two playmakers for scores, throwing touchdown passes of 32 and 14 yards to tight end Tyler Warren and running back Nicholas Singleton, respectively. Penn State's offense hasn't had a wide receiver step up this season, but Warren has filled the gap in a way that few could, as the 6-foot-6 senior tied an FBS record for tight ends with 17 catches (on 20 targets) for 224 yards. He and Allar also connected on a two-yard pass into the end zone on their opening offensive series, but this score was nullified by a penalty. Penn State will get a much-needed break with a bye in Week 8 before regrouping for a road game at Wisconsin on Saturday, Oct. 26.
