Arrested Sunday morning Bennett was arrested Sunday morning in Dallas on a public intoxication charge, Rebecca Lopez of WFAA Staff reports. Impact Bennett, fresh off back-to-back National Championships, was preparing for the 2023 NFL Draft in Dallas when he encountered legal trouble. Per the police report, officers responded to a call saying a man was banging on doors at 6 a.m. Sunday, and while police found Bennett "and determined he was in intoxicated," the report did not specify where they found Bennett or say if the former Georgia quarterback was the man banging on doors. The 25-year-old threw for 4,127 yards, 27 touchdowns and seven interceptions during the 2022 campaign and added 205 yards and 10 scores on the ground. However, due to his age and size (5-foot-11, 190 pounds), there is still plenty of skepticism about Bennett's chances of playing at the next level, and Sunday's events certainly didn't help his draft status.
